Explore from Yangon – the garden city and the main gate way to Myanmar to Bagan - the richest archeological sights in Asia. Relax and enjoy local riverlife as you cruise the Ayeyarwady River. Discover the sights of Sagaing, Mingun and Mandalay and enjoy excursions to the traditional Burmese village of Shanlay.

The Road To Mandalay continues to ply the waters of the Ayeyarwady River giving passengers the opportunity to see this fascinating and ancient land while travelling in traditional comfort.

The luxury cruise operates along the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. You may get the totally different taste been hidden from the world. These 3 deck cruiser consists 14 state cabins and 38 superior cabins comprise twin bed with two panoramic windows, and 4 single cabins. And you can gaze the beautiful the surrounding beauties and sunset from the observation desk. There is a swimming pool and you can enjoy a cool refreshing drink from the top desk bar. Detailed Tour Program
 

 Day 01 : SATURDAY : Yangon Bagan
Morning domestic flight from Yangon to Bagan. On arrival, transfer to the Road To Mandalay berthed on the Ayeyarwady River. At Bagan over 2,000 temples and pagodas remain on an awe-inspiring plain beside the river. After lunch, join the guide and visit the inside of some of the more significant pagodas. Late afternoon your guide takes you to watch the breathtaking vista of the sun setting over the plain. Dinner and local entertainment in the evening.

Day 02: SUNDAY : Bagan Mandalay
After breakfast a guided tour introduces you to more of Bagan’s important temples and the local market. Alternatively, you can hire a bicycle or horse-drawn cart and explore this fascinating area on your own. Mid-morning the Road To Mandalay begins its cruise north towards Mandalay. Relax on the top deck and watch the fascinating river life glide by. An on board guide lectures on local places and customs. The ship moors mid-river for the evening. Dinner and local entertainment.

Day 03: MONDAY : Mandalay
Arrive at the quaint little village of Shwe Kyet Yet after lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the key sights of Mandalay regarded as the centre of Burmese culture and Buddhist learning. Return to Road To Mandalay stopping enroute to admire sunset over the river. Dinner and local entertainment.

Day 04: TUESDAY : Mandalay Mingun Mandalay
After breakfast, cruise to Mingun. Visit the most important sights such as the pretty Hsinbyume Pagoda and the world’s largest uncracked bell. Return by ferry for a late lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Sagaing Hills, considered to be the living centre of the Buddhist faith in Burma. Sagaing is also famous for its silver and silversmiths who still work in much the same way as their ancestors did. Dinner and local entertainment.

Day 05: WEDNESDAY : Mandalay
Visit Maymyo, a colonial hill station set high in the mountains. Soak up the atmosphere with its cool climate, English style houses, colourful market and beautiful botanic gardens. A typical Shan lunch is taken at a colonial house. Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment.

Day 06: THURSDAY : Mandalay Ava Bagan
Enjoy a morning excursion to Ava the capital of a Burmese Kingdom for nearly 500 years. Sights include the magnificent wooden Bagaya Kyaung Monastery and the Nanmyin Watchtower. Return to the ship for lunch as the ship sets sail for Bagan. Relax on board in the afternoon or listen to the on board lecture in the lounge. Dinner on board.

Day 07: FRIDAY :  Bagan Mount  Popa
Arrive mid morning into Bagan. Take an excursion to Mount Popa, believed to be the sacred home of the Nats and is now a national park. On top of a rocky crag is a picturesque complex of monasteries, pagodas and shrines, which you can climb to via a winding, covered walkway. Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment.

Day 08: SATURDAY : Bagan Yangon
After an early breakfast you are transferred to Bagan airport for your onward flight to Yangon.
